Lahmacun is a traditional Turkish dish, very similar to Italian pizza. Ingredients are added to a bread dough that usually includes minced meat, tomatoes and other vegetables. It is a very simple recipe that children and adults will love.

  • 450 gr. Of flour
  • 250 gr. of water
  • 20 gr. fresh yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 onions
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 250 gr. minced meat
  • Parsley
  • Sweet paprika
  • Lemon
  • Oil
  • Black pepper

1. First we must make the dough. To do this, we put the flour in a bowl, make a hole in the center and add the yeast and warm water. We mix and add the salt. Let it rest for half an hour under a cloth, until it doubles in volume.

2. Meanwhile, prepare the pizza ingredients. Chop the onion very finely, peel and clean the tomatoes of seeds, chop them too.

3. Mix the vegetables with the minced meat, season to taste with paprika and pepper, add a dash of oil.

4. Preheat the oven to 250º. Divide the dough into portions (4 medium or 8 small) and shape them round, so that the dough is thin. Put the filling on top and bake for about 15 minutes. Before serving, add chopped parsley and a dash of lemon.
