Sea bream is a blue fish that is usually cooked mainly in the oven and, it is at Christmas or at family parties when this recipe takes on special importance since it is the protagonist of many Christmas menus.
Kids will love this recipe as the fish is very juicy and the base with potatoes gives it a very special flavor. In addition, it is very fast and easy to cook.
- A bream
- Half a kilo of potatoes
- 1 onion
- 1 lemon
- Olive oil
Tip: the fish will be juicier if it does not spend time in the oven. It should be frozen if it is going to be served undercooked to avoid anisakis.
1- Peel the potatoes into slices and the onion in julienne. Arrange them in a clay dish as a base for the fish. You can also fry them a bit before putting them in the oven without finishing. Add salt.
2- Make some cuts to the bream on its back and put a few slices of lemon. Salt the fish and add a little finely chopped garlic and parsley. Then arrange it on the base of potatoes.
3- Add a splash of oil and put in the oven for approximately 20-25 minutes at a power of 185º.
4- To serve it you will have to clean it of thorns and place it on the plate accompanied by the potatoes.
Guiainfantil's trick: You can fry the potatoes a little before putting them in the oven as the fish takes less time to cook than these and you may have it raw otherwise. Some also add a glass of white wine to the sea bream while it is in the oven.
